One way to reduce sugar cravings is to make sure you're getting enough protein. Protein provides sustained energy throughout the day and can help prevent sugar cravings. Another way to reduce sugar cravings is to make sure you're drinking enough water. If you're well-hydrated, sugar cravings will fade away.

 

Make sure you're eating enough fat as well! Many people eat a sugar-free diet and have nothing but sugar-free cookies for snacks because they don't realize that sugar-free means low-fat. Make sure you're eating plenty of healthy fats from nuts or avocados.

 

If you're trying to prevent sugar cravings, your sugar-free lifestyle may benefit from sugar detox. A sugar detox is an effort to minimize the physical and emotional impact of sugar on your body. You can detox from sugar by cutting out all forms of sugar for a certain period, usually 90 days. Over those 90 days, you'll likely experience sugar cravings, but by the end of the detox, you'll be sugar-free and feeling great!
